Unique Heights Homes-Old Storefronts
Old Storefronts are Truly Unique Heights Homes
Note: These old storefronts are located in Houston Heights and Woodland Heights See my pages on each neighborhood.
I am not a history buff, but I love old buildings and old houses. That’s why I live in the Heights and became a Realtor..
The Heights has a lot of cool old commercial buildings on 19th St, Yale St., etc. However, the ones that really stand out are the old storefronts; the old corner grocery stores scattered through out the residential areas. These can make wonderful loft-style homes or unique businesses.
Here are a few photos that I took today. These are part of our history; part of our unique neighborhood. Another reason to live here and not in sterile suburbia.
See the next link for page on Houston Heights Homes. It has a quick video tour of the Heights and another on the turn of the century shopping district. Houston Heights Homes
A couple of these are homes; others businesses. There are later stores, and even a laundromat converted into wonderful living spaces.
