Oak Forest Houses For Sale
Oak Forest is one of the 1950′s neighborhoods I write about. If you are not familiar with Oak Forest homes this link will take to to my my Neighborhood Page for the area.
The Oak Forest market is still doing very well. There are currently 61 “active” (available) homes on MLS, plus 51 under contract (that is a big number, even for the end of the month). About a fourth of these are new homes, or homes built in the last few years.
There are some beautifully renovated homes in thwe area. My featured Oak Forest home for this post is 1755 De Milo. It is a beautifully renovated 1668 SF 3/2/2 for $358,800. Photos to the right.
The typical Oak Forest home is either a 2/1 (often with garage converted to a third bedroom or den) or 3/2. Since most people prefer a second bath, I’ll summarize those. There are currently 14 active resale 3/2’s in Oak Forest. These are all ~1950’s homes, I excluded the newer homes.
