Heights Renovation of 625 Harvard
HDT Builders latest project, 625 Harvard St, in Historic Heights East has completed the trim stage and is being painted. If you aren’t familiar with Houston Heights, click on Neighborhood Pages at top of my site, or click here for my page on Houston Heights.
The interior trim of the original house were matched on the addition. Wide basebords, detailed window and door trim. Sal of Houston Total Carpentry did a fantastic job on the trim and built the custom cabinets. He has worked on several of HDT’s homes.
The trim has been painted and the interior walls are nearly finished. (The first coat is being applied; final coat when near completion). The 4 images above show the Great Room (which leads to screened back porch), the island kitchen (it will have twin single ovens under pass-through), entry with original transom door and diamond stained glass, and the master bath. Four photos can hardly to justice to this house, especially with everything coated in spray mist. See MLS link for many more photos. We like to brag on people who do good work: Mike Ruiz of Decorative Painting and Drywall does wonderful work. No bubbles, runs, exposed joints. They will come back in near completion for final coat and to erase any signs of dents, scuffs that the other trades cause. He is at 832 407-6247.
The next step will be installation of honed granite counter tops, then tile. After this, plumbing and electrical fixtures can go in.Last will be the HVAC operating to dry house for refinishing of white oak floors.
See previous post on this 4 BR/3 Bath house here. It has 2 bedrooms down, and the master suite and 4th bedroom upstairs. There is an unfinished room over garage that could be finished out as full apartment or other configurations.
