LITH Map

This is the event where I feel Christmas season truly begins. Lights in the Heights (LITH). By then my tree must be up, and lights on the house, even if not in the mood to do so. Saturday December 13th, 2014 is the date. 6-9 pm.

See the map, or print this LITH Map pdf.
The two streets this year are Omar and Highland…no parking on these streets. Just park where you can and follow the crowds.
This is the 27th year for this event, so if you haven’t attended you must really be stuck in suburbia. You probably just drive your kids through Prestonwood. (I did that years ago when I lived in Jersey Village.)
Woodland Heights Civic Association sponsors the event. It has grown so much that it is being reduced in scope. No food vendors, no activities on Norhill Esplanade. Also no public intoxication or peeing on the lawns. (This is why it is being scaled down.)
This is like a giant block party, but it has no center of focus, just dozens of bands, carolers, jingling bells, thousands of people, etc. Put lights on your kids and dogs (My dog Sockie loves it and the attention he gets with his lights on) and a spend an hour or so walking, gawking and visiting.
